about the founder

Kim Galway, MA, LCAT is an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) who has dedicated the past 25 years to helping young people discover their potential and reach their goals. She holds both a BFA and MA from New York University, and is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Certified School Counselor. She stays current with research and trends in the field of counseling, and is an Associate Member with the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), a member of the NY State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC), and a graduate of IECA's Summer Training Institute. She has worked as a therapist, counselor, and academic advisor in schools, universities, agencies and private practice and is a published author. She has expertise in dealing with adolescent anxiety, and has helped countless teens discover their strengths and potential. She was also the founder and director of two musical theatre companies for young people on the East End of Long Island, where she fostered their passions and talent for over 12 years. Kim is a mother with two children in college and one in high school. She finds great joy in working with teens and their families to create exciting, valuable and joyful futures.
